Recalling the sounds of 1960/70’s Jamaica, Anant seeks to revive the traditions of its early innovators like Tommy McCook & Cedric Brooks. Their ability to spin popular music into something their own became one of the hallmarks of Jamaican music in the ‘60s and beyond.

The band features members of The Frightnrs, The Skatalites Band, The Far East, Cedric Brooks, Akoya Afrobeat, and Combo Lulo

Together they pay homage to Jamaica’s great musicians, and the composers that influenced them - both old and new.

The Mooks

Vic Ruggiero is a Singer and Songwriter from New York, and Frontman of The Slackers. He teams with Simon Chardiet and together they form The Mooks. Come have a homegrown Brooklyn night with your favorite Ska/Rock duo.
